ADHS COURSE SELECTIONS
Dear Parents/Guardians of ADHS students,
The Grade 9 and Grade 10 - 12 course calendars are designed to help you plan your timetable for next year and your
pathway beyond high school. With appropriate planning in advance, next year can be both
successful and rewarding.
The ADHS Guidance Counsellor will complete course selection presentations with all grades usually in February and then selection sheets and instructions are sent home with students for review with their parents. Teachers also consult with students and
parents regarding course selection choices.
If you are not currently a student at ADHS, a personal appointment must be booked with the guidance
counsellor.
Here are some important tips for the planning process:
• Carefully review the Course Calendars before you complete your course selections.
• Identify the courses in the flowcharts that are mandatory and elective according to the grade.
• Parental approval and teacher recommendations are required. If you are a current grade 12 student planning to return for another year, you will need to book an appointment with the guidance counsellor.
